The L.S. Starrett Co. introduces its Digi-Check height masters with electronic digital readout. The Digi-Check No. 258 series combines the Starrett-Webber gage blocks with a micrometer head and digital readout display. The device provides a reference setting for checking bore gages, inside micrometers, end measuring rods and other gages and height measurement of parts. Read more.

Mahr Inc. has expanded its Optimar 100 solution for testing dial and digital indicators, test indicators and dial comparators with image processing to automate the testing of measuring equipment. An upgrade kit with a camera automatically records the values of the test indicators and forwards them to software for processing, increasing the system’s safety and speed. The automated procedure saves time and replaces operator readings, which are prone to errors. Marposs expands its Mida VTS visual tool setter family with the addition of the VTS WF45 and WF85 wide field versions. These versions are for non-contact measuring and for verifying double-sided, larger-diameter tools. Its illumination system produces collimated light with a constant wavelength, eliminating the wrap-around effect on turned parts.
