ECi Software Is Acquiring Exact’s Macola, JobBoss, Max Divisions
Exact will now focus on its Exact Globe, Exact Synergy and Exact Online portfolio.

The Dutch software company Exact Group B.V. (Exact) has announced that (Fort Worth, Texas) is acquiring its Macola, JobBoss and Max divisions. The deal, is expected to close within the next two months.
The transaction is expected to allow Exact to increase focus and accelerate growth with its global solution portfolio. The company will continue to serve its U.S. Exact Globe, Exact Synergy and Exact Online customers with a dedicated team in the United States.
ECi is a provider of industry-specific business software and services for small- to medium-size organizations. Macola, JobBoss and Max are three manufacturing software providers geared toward the North American market predominantly, each targeting a specific sector of the manufacturing and distribution market. Together, ECi, Macola, JobBoss and Max are said to form one of the largest software providers for manufacturers, with more than 7,000 customers worldwide.
Erik van der Meijden, Exact’s CEO, says that “Like Exact, ECi makes significant investments in R&D, product management and service to contribute to the success of their customers, employees and the business as a whole.” He adds that the Exact Online, Exact Globe and Exact Synergy portfolio is being extended through acquisitions in Europe. “At the same time, we are investing in new services that help SMEs to be successful using the advanced capabilities of a digitized world.”
