Grob Hosts Five-Axis Machining Technology Event

Grob Systems Inc. welcomed over 150 customers and suppliers to its 5-Axis Live! technology event August 20, 2019. Together with eight partnering companies, Grob shared strategies, best practices and machining demonstrations focused on five-axis applications for the aerospace and die/mold industries.
A Technology Alley area showcased partner exhibits from Blum-Novotest, Caron Engineering, CAMplete, Hypermill, Mapal, Schunk, Seco, and Siemens, and served as the central hub for networking and catering. Machining demonstrations were designed to address challenges specific to the difficult materials and high demands of aerospace and die/mold machining.
Keynote speaker Greg Jones, vice president of Smart Development for AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology, discussed programs and resources meant to help companies develop a workforce for the future. Guided tours were aimed at arguing that Grob’s manufacturing processes contribute to the performance and reliability of the G-series Universal machines.
