Mahr has signed a cooperation agreement with NanoFocus, a German manufacturer of 3D surface metrology products, to offer its confocal microscopes in the United States under the product family MarSurf CM. The agreement expands Mahr’s tactile portfolio with optical metrology.
The confocal product range is used in medical technology, the automotive industry, materials management and manufacturing for electrical engineering. In addition to the high measurement speed, the optical measuring systems work independently of the material and without contact for sensitive surfaces.
Optical measurement technology is becoming increasingly important for many applications due to its high measurement speed and accuracy, prompting Mahr to expanding its product portfolio with these high-resolution, confocal 3D surface measuring systems.
