Open Mind Announces Cooperation Agreement with SoftInWay Inc.
The partnership is intended to bring the companies’ CAM and CAD software, respectively, to bear on the turbomachinery manufacturing sector.

Open Mind Technologies AG (Wessling, Germany) and (Burlington, Massachusetts) have announced a cooperation agreement to provide a complete software solution for the design, development and manufacturing of gas turbine components and other types of turbomachinery.
This partnership is intended to bring product, services, sales and technical teams together for a complete software solution. Customers will be able to work with each company to obtain tools, training and services from these industry experts. Both companies are represented by employees and authorized resellers in the United States, Europe and Asia.
SoftInWay’s AxStream turbomachinery design software includes modules for performing preliminary design, meanline and streamline analysis, CFD and FEA, blade profiling, rotor dynamics, bearings analysis, and rotor design for compressors, pumps, and turbines. Open Mind’s HyperMill CAM software is designed for 2.5D, 3D, five-axis, HSC/HPC and mill-turning processes as well as special applications and automation. The software is embedded with multi-blade and single-blade turbomachinery solutions for programming the milling, drilling and turning processes required.
