5th Axis Inc. showcases its new round-stock gripper jaw. The new jaw option is compatible with all 5", X Series self-centering vises from 5th Axis. It is said to enable a fast and seamless transition from square and rectangular bar to round stock. The proprietary jaw design is comprised of two hardened steel gripper segments that can be repositioned to accommodate stock from 1.5" diameter up to 8".
“We are always looking for ways to expand the capabilities of our workholding products,” says Mat Evans, vice president of workholding. “The new design allows existing and new X Series customers to affordably and easily convert the vise for round stock.” The jaw is compatible with V562X and V510X self-centering vises from 5th Axis.
