Capable of machining tubes ranging from 0.010" to 0.030" in diameter, Kyocera Tycom’s new line of micro down/up cut end mills has been designed to minimize the processing steps required to produce burr-free holes or slots.

Working with these end mills, users can create holes or slots in both sidewalls in one pass. According to the company, the tubing’s ID edge finish is virtually burr-free, as material is extracted outward during milling. The company adds that a minimal burr remains on the OD tube, which can then be removed by tumbling.
