Lang Technovation’s Robo-Trex Automation System is the company’s first automation based on the company’s smaller, 52-mm Quick-Point system. The Robo-Trex system can be attached to new or existing machine tools. Loading is done through the machine door or an integrated side window.
Due to the low height of the zero-point clamping system, fixed five-axis tables (3+2) are easily automated, the company says. An articulated robot with the company’s integrated gripper promotes accessibility to the machine table.
The zero-point clamping system can be operated pneumatically through the machine tool or mechanically through the robot. Four customized carts serve as a vise memory for the system. The vises are mounted vertically in the cart for optimal use of space, featuring a storage capacity of 30 or 42 Makro Grip five-axis vises per cart.
Maneuverability and an integrated entry system enable a fast loading of the system by simply exchanging the carts, the company says. Touchscreen control for easy operation simplifies training.
