BIG Kaiser offers two balancing accessories for the 112 series EWN precision boring heads. Balance rings and radial adjustable holders allow compensation for imbalance in tool assemblies for diameters ranging from 0.078" to 2.125".
The balance rings work with standard boring-bar components for diameters ranging to 0.394" and are attached at the front end of the boring head. For diameters ranging to 2.125", the radial adjustable holders keep the boring head cartridge and boring bar close to the center position while the adjustable insert holder is used for coarse diameter adjustment. A balancing machine is required to measure the amount and location of tool imbalance.
