Lenox offers its Contestor XL bi-metal band saw blade for high-performance sawing of large workpieces and difficult-to-cut metals. The blade’s high-speed steel edge wire increases tooth hardness for improved wear resistance. Its chip-controlling design is said to reduce heat and wear, while the shallow gullet shape promotes beam strength for straighter cuts. Improved chip formation helps to penetrate difficult-to-cut metals with higher rake angles and multi-level set, the company says. Applications include mold steels, stainless steels, tool steels, titanium alloys and nickel-based alloys.
The company will also display its Armor CT Black carbide band saw blade, featuring Armor AlTiN coating.
