Accudyne’s EZ-Puller bar puller enables semi-automatic operation of CNC turning centers. Polyurethane springs provide force to pivoting arms, which in turn apply force to circular grippers at the ends of the arms. To set the tool for griping and pulling barstock, the tool moves in the Z axis until the grippers are at least 0.150" past the end of the stock. Then, the tool moves in the X axis until the grippers are on centerline with the material and initiates a standard pull cycle.
The bar puller can accommodate round stock ranging from 0.125" to 1.625"; hexagonal stock ranging from 0.125" to 1.375"; square stock ranging from 0.125" to 1.125"; and even-sided polygons ranging to 1.625" across corners. The tool’s design enables bar size changes without manual adjustments.
