The latest edition of Visi CAD/CAM by Vero Software features several time-saving features and upgrades.
The 2.5-Axis Pocketing strategy is designed to improve toolpath quality, optimize tool paths on open features and enable machining from a stock model. When the stock model is defined, the strategy can identify the areas where it is necessary to remove the material and adapt the tool path to produce passes only when they are needed.
The 2.5-Axis Waveform strategy (previously available in 3D roughing) maintains constant tool cutting load, constant cutting feed rate and a smooth tool path which avoids sharp changes in direction to enable high-speed machining.
The Re-machining strategy, based on the software’s Pocketing functionality, automatically achieves rest area recognition based on the reference operations. A residual stock algorithm is used for 2D and 3D operations and the dynamic incremental stock command. This ensures consistent toolpath quality regardless of the operation type.
