The Civi 2000 multi-part clamping system is a modular workholding system that allows clamping of multiple workpieces in the same space in which typical workholding systems can only clamp one workpiece, the company says. The clamping system consists of a wide range of interchangeable bases, movable jaws and fixed supports. Bases are available in standard lengths from 9.94" (250 mm) to 24.8" (630 mm) and come with one fixed support. Additional fixed supports and moveable jaws can be added to create a customized workholding solution. The system can be used as a vise on existing machines; on a customized tombstone; with the company’s Combidex indexing tables; or with the company’s CLAK system of quick-change parallels and jaws.
