FANUC FA America’s series 30i/31i/32i-model B CNCs feature predictive and preventive maintenance tools for motors and fans to enable pre-plan servicing of a machine during scheduled downtime. Amplifiers address predictive motor failures by checking the resistance of the windings, which can deteriorate due to coolant infiltration. The amplifiers record the winding resistance and predict when the motor will fail, enabling maintenance personnel to order a motor in advance and change it when convenient. Amplifier fan speeds can also be monitored to predict failure. The CNC is capable of acting as a Web server to display CNC screens on any network device so that personnel can monitor all CNC equipment from one tablet or other device.
The CNC enables accurate, simultaneous, five-axis high speed machining and incorporates the company’s high speed smooth TCP with fairing technology. The control offers a high speed and large-capacity, multi-path PMC with a maximum of five concurrent independent ladders.
