Mitutoyo America will feature the Mach Ko-Ga-Me, a compact near-line/in-line coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for automated cells. The machine is said to provide high-speed, high-accuracy measurements, versatility, and flexibility in a production environment. The Mach Ko-Ga-Me mounts on any rigid frame, including machine tools, for full CMM capabilities and in-process measurement without the space requirements of a full-sized machine.
Quick and easy setup of applications speeds measurement results. Modifications can be made on the fly when critical features in the manufacturing process change. Thanks to the unit’s compactness, Mitutoyo says it is easy to move and reconfigure to handle a completely different part family on the shop floor or use for general lab inspection. A sealed design and built-in thermal compensation make the Ko-Ga-Me suitable for use on the shop floor with a temperature range of 10° to 35°C (50° to 95°F).
The system comes with MCosmos metrology software to interface more easily into factory automation and manufacturing cells.
