The MTC conversion components make it possible to use MTC inserts in existing Manchester Deep Grooving toolholders.

Three components—a support blade, a clamp and a stop—mount to the existing square shank and right-angle OD grooving toolholders to create a mounting area comparable to that of MTC integral shank toolholders. Once the components are installed, any of the inserts in the series can be used in the toolholder.

The MTC line of double-ended, double-V design inserts, which includes four insert styles, only fits into the integral shank toolholders. The system is designed to perform cutoff, plunge and turning and plunge and contour operations.
