Rollomatic has expanded its VGPro software by adding its drill and step drill programs, form tools and rotary burrs. The software runs the multi-axis GrindSmart series of tool and cutter grinding machines.
The software also features an embedded 3D simulator. The stability and quick rendering of 3D images is said to enable users to save programming time and effort. The software is applicable for grinding high-performance end mills with variable helix, including ballnose, corners and tapers; helically-, sheared- and straight-form tools and profile inserts; drills and step drills, including variable helix; and rotary burrs. The software is equipped with the company’s RMonitor networked machine monitoring system and Simulator engine 6.0 for high-speed simulations of tool designs.
