NTK Cutting Tools introduces Bidemics, a group of advanced composite cutting tool materials designed to significantly improve productivity when machining heat-resistant super alloys (HRSAs). According to the company, the grade enables cutting speeds ranging to 1,600 surface feet per minute (sfm), resulting in higher productivity in HRSA applications. The group includes JX1 and JP2, now with honed edge preparation (E02) for available geometries, expanding the scope of manufacturing applications.
