Version 5.1 of Dontyne Systems’ Gear Design Pro software suite includes updates for bevel gears, planetary gears and inspection, as well as licensing options. The software’s bevel gear function enables generic bevel design for manufacture using virtually any multi-axis CNC. Roll check and transmission error (TE) with load are included, as well as bias calculation simulation features. Planetary gear tools include LAM automatic gear phasing calculation between all meshes. Additional planetary gear features include planetary LTCA, multiple surface mods, TE analysis and custom reports options. The software also includes integrated inspection interfaces for Osaka Seitmitsu and Wenzel. Dontyne now offers multi-user site-wide licensing of individual modular tools, designed for use by large organizations with multiple anticipated concurrent users. Network and floating license installations are also available.
