Absolute Machine Tools has introduced the Yougar YGS CNC Moving Head and YGS ZNC Manual series of drilling EDMs.
The YGS CNC Moving Head is designed to provide smooth motion and more stability than fixed-head, moving-table EDM drills. An automatic guide changer enables long, unattended operations and automatic hole drilling. The machines offer as many as eight fully programmable axes, facilitating complex manufacturing applications. Rotating brass or copper tubular electrodes from 0.1 to 3.0 mm (0.004" to 0.118") in diameter perform drilling, while a high-pressure pump provides adjustable through-spindle flushing as high as 750 psi to maximize performance.
A 17" touchscreen display enables operators to manually enter drilling positions or import them from an external DXF or wire EDM program file via USB or TCP/IP. The built-in supply module for the dielectric system is designed to save space and simplify maintenance. Dielectric fluid is filtered from 3 to 20 microns via a standard, replaceable paper filter cartridge. An Ion quality sensor and mixed-bed Ion exchange resin monitors clean water to maintain conductivity. The maximum workpiece weight is 1,100 lbs. The machines support a range of rotary table manufacturers, as well as tilting-head (±45 degrees) and multilingual operations.
The YGS ZNC series includes high-speed EDM drills that perform simple start-hole drilling quickly and efficiently with electrodes in diameters ranging from 0.1 to 3.0 mm (0.004" to 0.118"). Featuring a 10-micron extended-life filter, resistivity sensor and Ion exchange resin, the machines are designed to provide smooth, reliable machining over long periods of time.
