The Guided T-A and 3XL drilling systems from Allied Machine & Engineering are designed for predictable deep-hole machining. Both systems are available with inserts featuring the heat-resistant AM200 coating. The Guided T-A system provides tighter positioning and a straighter hole through deep-hole drilling operations. Designed for breaking out on uneven surfaces, the system is available in carbide-clad and chrome-plated styles and can be used with standard T-A, GEN2 T-A, HSS or carbide blades. 3XL is the longest of the T-A style toolholders and is available in helical or straight flute designs. Lathe, Morse taper and flange-style shanks are available in lengths ranging from 1×D to 28×D.
