Designed primarily to prevent staining from water-based metalworking fluids on aluminum alloys and galvanized steel, Angus Chemical Company's Corrguard SI additive also provides emulsification and lubricity properties, the company says. The product is free of silicates and phosphorus and is effective at concentrations as low as 0.1 percent (working dilution). According to the company, it has a favorable safety/environmental profile and is easily waste treated.
