Helios Highlights Gear Solutions, Rotary Magazine with Automatic Loading

Helios Gear Products features its Hera 90 CNC gear hobbing machine, M673 CNC gear shaping machine and MSR rotary magazine with automatic loading.
Hera CNC gear hobbing machines support micro- to coarse-pitch gear manufacturing applications in a compact footprint, with technical features such as complete FANUC CNC and direct-drive torque motors, digital scales, easy-to-use (and train) dialog programming and unified automation systems.
Of the eight sizes of Hera machines available, Helios is demonstrating the Hera 90’s ability to produce high-quality spur gears, helical gears, straight bevel gears, worms, worm gears and other hobbed profiles with a maximum pitch rating of 8.5 DP.
In addition to the Hera 90, Helios is featuring the high-speed shaping capabilities of the M673. It features shaping speeds of up to 2,000 strokes per minute, capability to accommodate versatile cutter types (disc, bell and shank) and flexible automation system options.
Additionally, the MSR rotary magazine with automatic loading can offer versatile automation by integrating manufacturing cells with operations such as gear generation, washing, deburring and laser marking. The company says that the MSR features stackable workpiece towers that offer more capacity than rotary conveyors. It is offered with a variety of robotic loading options to feed up to four machine tools at a time for optimized gear manufacturing operations.
