Available from DMG/Mori Seiki, the DIXI 210 features a volumetric accuracy of 35 microns for machining large, heavy components. Jointly developed by Mori Seiki and Deckel Maho, the machine offers a work area measuring 1,800 × 2,100 × 1,250 mm, and rapid traverse rates of 60, 40 and 40 m/min. in the X, Y and Z axes, respectively. The machine can accommodate components weighing as much as 8,000 kg in a single setup, with diameters ranging to 2,500 mm and heights ranging to 1,250 mm.
A gantry design with three-point support and parts cast in GGG60 increases rigidity and stability. High-performance motor spindles ranging to 114 kW are available, as well as a 6,300-rpm gear spindle that provides as much as 1,550 Nm torque, feed rates of 60 m/min. and final finishing with top dynamics of 6 m/sec.2. A thermal management system cools all heat-generated components. The machine can accommodate as many as 180 tools and offers chip-to-chip times as fast as 10 sec.
