The five-axis Nozzle Master from Micro EDM Machine & Tool is designed for high-precision small-hole production EDM. The machine produces holes ranging in size from 0.003" to 0.015". A solid welded and normalized base with granite table top and vertical uprights provides rigidity. The XYZ slides are constructed of stainless steel and oversized for additional rigidity and accuracy.
The 1"-stroke, DC-powered EDM head slide with automatic electrode handling replenishes used electrodes via hitch-feed motion. Wire guides provide repeatable electrode location, and electronic feedback enables programmable depth control. The machine features upper and lower over-travel limits and an adjustable up-stop limit.
The M-1 1-amp EDM power supply is rear-panel-mounted, and all EDM and motion settings are controlled via a touch-screen panel. A pendant arm control box is provided, along with a handheld pendant for manual jogging of the machine. Power level by depth, range, capacitance level, polarity reversing, hitch feed, hitch feed reverse, depth setting, and all CNC motion and machine functions are controlled through the touchscreen or G/M codes in the program.

A History of Precision: The Invention and Evolution of Swiss-Style Machining
In the late 1800s, a new technology — Swiss-type machines — emerged to serve Switzerland’s growing watchmaking industry. Today, Swiss-machined parts are ubiquitous, and there’s a good reason for that: No other machining technology can produce tiny, complex components more efficiently or at higher quality.
