Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s GT16 series human machine interface (HMI) is designed to increase mobility, visualization and integration with existing automation solutions portfolios. The interface integrates HMI functionality into a single platform. Visualizations can be used for applications at the machine, factory and enterprise level. The HMI provides remote access, multimedia video and sound capabilities, multi-language text and graphic support, and alarm management with conditional sequencing for use with multimedia files. Embedded diagnostics and maintenance functions are said to increase uptime and improve operations.
The terminals are available in size sizes ranging from 5.7" to 15" and feature high-quality display technology with as many as 65,536 colors. The interface features flexible recipe management, data logging, multi-language support, Windows fonts and a range of drivers to support connectivity with automation vendors.
Hardware includes an advanced CPU and graphics engine, integrated communication ports (RS422/485/Ethernet) and power supply, front-mounted USB ports (USB host/device), compact flash and option slots, and built-in 15-MB flash memory. The compact platform features an upgradable operating system and a real-time clock.
