New sizes for Sandvik Coromant’s CoroDrill 880 enable additional short-hole drilling applications in a variety of materials. Suited for high-productivity drilling, the tool is said to provide a low machining cost per hole with a high penetration rate. Improved chip evacuation and a new cutting action made possible through Step technology has increased productivity, reliability and quality, the company says. Available in diameters ranging from 0.472" to 2.5", the new features allow the drill not only to increase its application area but also to make holes twice as fast, the company says.
