Ceratizit will display its MaxiDrill 900 system, an indexable insert drill with four-edged geometry and application grades for high feeds and high metal removal rates. The CTPP430 grade covers a range of applications and materials and can be used in central and peripheral insert positions, whileCTCP420 grade for the peripheral cutting edge is said to increase cutting speed by 30 percent. The inclined position of the insert seat is said to optimize performance, ensuring process reliability and minimum drilling tolerances. The drills are available in 211 standard sizes with lengths ranging from from 2×D to 5×D and diameters from 12 to 63 mm.
