Leaders-In background
The company introduces the Radicator, an inserted carbide back draft milling cutter. The design of the new insert has moved the actual cutting edges closer to center, allowing a much freer cut, the company says. The massive size of the insert is said to promote improved heat dissipation. Applications include semi-rough, semi-finish and finish profile milling, along with other uses. The 1" diameter tool holder is available in 6-, 8-, 10- and 12-inch lengths. Two types of inserts are offered, including a double-sided version for profile work or tapered walls. A single-sided insert can be used for cutting straight walls. The new inserts are offered with corner radii of 1/32, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32 and 1/4. All inserts--TIALN coated or uncoated--are available off the shelf. Other diameters are anticipated for release.
