Keep Tools In Place With High Loads
ÌýThe SafeLock system combines the advantages of a shrink-fit chuck with those of a positive connection by integrating ball or pin drivers into the chuck. Those drivers grip into helical grooves that are ground into the cutter shank in the opposite direction of the cutting forces. The shape of the groove ensures that the tool is simultaneously safeguarded against spinning and against being pulled out when confronted with radial and axial cutting forces.

The system is said to be suitable for virtually all applications but especially useful for high-performance machining and heavy milling with high chip volume.
