Scytec’s cloud-based DataXchange machine monitoring system reduces downtime by providing live notifications of machine issues via text or email. Its customizable dashboards enable manufacturers to communicate with employees about productivity. It provides key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) data in real time, which help with stand-up production meetings. Machine monitoring such as this can increase productivity by as much as 25 percent, according to Shop Floor Automations, a reseller of the system.
The system’s updated features include new OEE reports, integration with OPC UA protocol and Caron engineering software. New abilities include multiple parts per hour views, additional rotation interval options and a data entry interface with email notes.
The software can be integrated with a range of equipment including CNC machines, robots, grinders, lasers, waterjets and other fabrication machines.
