MachiningCloud Launches Web-Based Storefront
MachiningCloud has launched its web-based store, allowing users to purchase products from many cutting tool and tooling vendors directly from its website.

MachiningCloud launched a new purchasing option for its online service on November 23rd. Customers can now order products directly from the website, closing the loop with features to download tooling geometry and application information.
The shopping cart functionality streamlines the tool selection and procurement process by giving users real-time visibility on inventory levels, pricing and discount schedules, shipping options and projected delivery dates.
The beta implementation was a success, and product selection continues to expand. As of Nov. 19, MachiningCloud had distribution agreements with cutting tool and tooling manufacturers representing more than half a million part numbers, with more on the way.
"MachiningCloud has created an effective and efficient application that allows OSG's cutting tool data to be easily shared with our customer base,” says OSG USA vice president Tak Aoyama. “Their cloud-based application provides essential up-to-date details to help identify the right OSG cutting tool for every type of job."
Mike Bjerke, vice president and national sales manager for cutting tools at Mitsubishi Materials USA, also speaks highly of MachiningCloud. "It will become increasingly important for our customers to have a digital resource where they can select, configure and review product data, then transact with a trusted company that is focused on the cutting tool industry," he says. "MachiningCloud fulfills that role as an established digital platform that helps our customers do just that."
