C-Thru4.0, a data management application from Marposs, is designed to collect and process data from multiple machine tools equipped with Artis machine monitoring systems via a central hub. This information can be accessed remotely via tablet, PC or laptop, and can integrate with MES and higher-level ERP systems. The data collected can be used for implementing tool life, machine capacity and cost analysis; alarm tracing; counts, profit and loss accounting; and profitability analysis, among other things.
The software works by feeding real-time information from the machine tools to a cloud platform network. Access to this cloud network can be centralized or decentralized. This interconnectivity is said to optimize preventive maintenance, process stabilization, quality assurance and resource planning. Production costs and quality are always transparent and traceable through the statistical recording and evaluation of performance indicators.
To initiate C-Thru4.0, data collected from the monitoring processes is coordinated with the customer’s cost and resource information to provide a dashboard that meets the customer’s needs. Any changes coming in from the customer side can be fed back to the machining center.
