QualiChem’s Eqo-Pure 452 vegetable-based, water-soluble lubricant is designed for severe hardened steel and stainless steel machining applications. The micro-emulsion fluid is formulated for use on ferrous or nonferrous metals that require high levels of boundary and high-pressure lubrication, and is said to provide corrosion control for ferrous metals and machine tools. According to the company, the lubricant can replace straight oil in applications such as boring, deep-hole drilling, reaming, tapping and threading.
The fluid features extreme pressure additives and avoids foaming and staining, improving tool life and workpiece quality. According to QualiChem, the lubricant provides a stable emulsion and runs clean for longer tool and service life. Its bio-resistant qualities enable a long fluid life in both central systems and individual sumps without biocides.
