Crystallume introduces a new line of high-precision, metric-diamond- coated end mills for machining graphite electrodes that meet mold manufacturing requirements. The end mills will be featured at IMTS 2022 in booth #432374.
According to the company, the cutting tools are coated with a proprietary Lightning CVD Diamond coating to ensure a long tool life. The tight-tolerance tools offer end mills under 6 mm in diameter, and is held within +0.000/-0.013 mm for the diameter and +0.000/0.013 mm for the ball or radius at the end of the tool. The shank has an H6 tolerance for precise holding in shrink-fit holders. Crystallume says it manufactures diamond end mills as small as 0.20 mm for machining the smallest details.
