The company’s line of frictionless 9-bit (512 count) miniature magnetic encoders are available in industry-standard absolute, incremental or linear output formats. Speeds of more than 30,000 rpm can be achieved with measurement accuracy better than 0.7 degrees. The non-contact design provides long-term operation by eliminating the need for seals or bearings, the company says. For harsh environments, compact sealed versions are also available with immunity to IP68. The encoders come in component, modular and packaged versions.
Absolute encoders come in parallel or serial data formats, while incremental output options include digital (128 ppr), analog, linear voltage and linear current modes. The linear voltage or current output options can be used in traditional potentiometer applications.
