Monaghan Tooling Group’s Vergnano P900 high-performance forming taps are designed for blind or through holes in mild or stainless steel, light alloys and super alloys. Constructed of HSSZ powdered metal high-speed steel and coated with either TiN or Red MAXX, they are engineered to meet high production demands with extended tool life.
Available in both 45-degree right-hand or left-hand spirals with standard or long shanks, they produce ISO metric coarse thread (type M) in sizes from 1-42mm (0.0393″-1.650″). Chamfer forms C and E are offered, as well as through-coolant or external coolant designs. Tolerance options include 6X, 6HX, 6GX and 7GX.
Vergnano P900 taps are designed for increased speed while maintaining tight tolerances, enabling structural integrity in critical thread components. With 12 standard versions, Monaghan says these taps are well suited for creating blind or through threaded holes with precision, speed and reliability, enabling them to be used for industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, agriculture and general manufacturing applications.
