Hyundai Wia’s L2100SY multitasking wedge-type Y-axis CNC turning center features an 8" chuck on the main spindle and a 6" chuck on the subspindle to support complex machining in a single setup. The gearless, 20/14.6-hp main spindle is designed for high-precision applications at speeds ranging to 4,500 rpm, with features that ensure minimal thermal growth at high speeds or under heavy cutting loads. The subspindle with C axis is driven by the B-axis ballscrew and servomotor to promote precision and accuracy, with speeds ranging to 6,000 rpm.
The machine provides 24.8" (630 mm) swing over the bed, a maximum turning length of 17.91" (455 mm) and bar capacity of 2.56" (65 mm). The X-and Z-axis travels measure 8.27" (210 mm) and 22.83" (580 mm), respectively, while the Y-axis travel ranges from 3.15" ±1.69" (100 ±50 mm). Cutting is reinforced by an all-axis box guideway design, which provides rigidity and accuracy. A three-step gearbox is ideal for low-torque, heavy cuts as well as high-speed fine finishing.
