SmartCAMcnc has updated several SmartCAM v2015 native data translator modules: SolidWorks Connection, PTC Pro/Engineer and PTC Creo Connection. The Native Data Translators are optional modules that enable SmartCAM users to open native CAD design models directly in SmartCAM without the need for intermediary, generic CAD file formats. With the updates, the translators can read .sldprt part files created in SolidWorks versions 98 through 2015 as well as .prt, .prt.*, and .xpr part files from Pro/Engineer versions 16 through Creo 2.0.
The SmartCAM software family comprises applications for CNC milling, turning, fabrication and wire EDM.
