Four new products from Jergens, Inc. are designed to enhance the process of locating workholding fixtures. For aligning two fixture pieces, the company offers Bullet nose dowels. The pin and head are concentric within 0.0005 TIR, while the dowel’s receiver bushing has ID and OD concentricity within 0.003 TIR.

The Pilot locating pins require no liner. Two styles of Bullet nose pins are available: round pin or relieved pin, both of which are used for aligning two fixture pieces. Each is used in conjunction with a matching bushing. Flats on the relieved pin are said to prevent binding, and yet, according to the company, allow a high degree of accuracy to be maintained.
