One of several performance enhancements to version 2.3 of the GeomCaliper product lifecycle management software is that it functions with support and integration with CATIA V5R19. Software developer Geometric Ltd. says it has also improved accuracy of the program’s thickness checker tool—it now filters out non-critical data to display only the most relevant results. The PLM software is a tool that facilitates measurement and checking of wall thickness of 3D CAD models. It accelerates the design review process, enabling faster prototyping and production of designs, thus reducing overall design cycle time.
The software has the ability to create and load different templates of settings for different types of thickness analysis, and an editable color band allows users to change GeomCaliper results after importing them in CATIA V5.
