ERI America offers WTE’s line of precision hydraulic chucks, including high-performance holders and micro universal chucks. The chucks offer features said to reduce microstructure cracking on the tool’s cutting edge for increased productivity and offer axial/radial adjustment in common shank forms. Reducing sleeves or hydraulic chuck extensions promote clamping flexibility.
The high-performance holders feature high temperature stability and strong holding forces combined with vibration damping and radial stiffness for improved workpiece surface quality. Solid construction and a sealed, maintenance-free clamping system promote cost savings thanks to reduced cutting times, says the company.
The micro universal chucks are designed specifically for high-speed micromachining at speeds ranging to 60,000 rpm while delivering concentricity of less than 0.005 mm. These chucks offer a clamping range from 0.2 to 6.4 mm with high precision and reliability, making them suitable for medical, electronic device and moldmaking applications.
