Weiler offers its redesigned E50HD cycle-controlled lathe, featuring added control, easier use and more compact design matched to practical work requirements while reducing space. With precision components, powerful drives and a robust machine bed, the lathe provides high accuracy and efficient cutting performance, the company says. All guideways and bearings are directly lubricated for lower wear. A wheel-out chip tray or optional chip conveyors ease chip removal. The lathe also offers safety through multiple signal monitoring and reduced energy consumption via the company’s e-TIM timer-controlled standby mode for automatic shutdown.
The company’s SL2 control interface uses a conversational programming mode to ease use along with a range of options for customized solutions. The control panel consists of a 15" TFT screen and membrane keyboard with short stroke keys.
