Remove Leftover Metal With Tool
Share

The flexible hone with each globule having independent suspension creates a finishing device that floats to the workpiece. Self-aligning and self-compensating for wear, the Flex-Hone tool from Brush Research Mfg. Co. removes the peaks from the surface, developing a plateau of more than 60 percent. It removes the cut, torn and folded metal from the surface that is produced by the previous machining or grinding operation. An oil-holding crosshatch with a required Ra is thus created, with consistency and speed, the company says.
