The RoboTrex automation system is the first of Lang Technovation’s products to be compatible with both the 52- and 96-mm Quick-Point clamping systems. The automation system can be attached to new or existing machine tools. Loading is done through the machine door or an integrated side window.
Thanks to the low height of the zero-point clamping system, fixed five-axis (3+2) tables can be automated. The articulated robot with integrated gripper provides for accessibility to the machine table. The zero-point clamping system can be operated pneumatically through the machine tool or mechanically through the robot.
Four carts serve as vise memory for the system. The vises are mounted vertically in the cart for optimal use of space, featuring a storage capacity of 9, 30 or 42 Makro Grip five-axis vises per cart (depending on workpiece sizes). Direct engagement of the vises means that additional support pallets are not needed. An integrated entry system speeds loading of the RoboTrex by simply exchanging carts.
User-friendly touchscreen control eases operation of the automation system, simplifying and reducing training costs to a minimum, according to Lang.
