Aerotech’s AGR series motorized rotary stages are said to improve speed, load capacity and long-term positioning performance for general-purpose positioning in laboratory and industrial applications. The stages offer accuracy of 20 arcseconds with 8 arcseconds bi-directional repeatability, and 360-degree continuous or optional limited travels. Maximum speed is 30 rpm. Title error motion is 10 arcseconds, axial error motion is 5 microns, radial error motion is 10 microns and the maximum axial load is 425 kg.

Apertures ranging from 50 to 200 mm in diameter are available, enabling the series to be used in applications requiring a through-hole or accommodations for mounting an optic, such as articulation of beam polarizing lenses; through-holes for cabling or airlines; or vision, camera or inspection applications. The stage base is constructed of an aluminum alloy and features two high-precision angular contact bearings. Options include brush, brushless and stepper motor selections, as well as a direct encoder mounted to the stage shaft to avoid hysteresis and backlash. A range of matching drives and controls are available, as well as vacuum-compatible versions for use in pressures as low as 10^-6 Torr.
