Royal Master Grinders introduces a custom automatic bar feeding system for the TG-12×8 Thrufeed Centerless Grinder. The system can load bars from 0.125" to 3" in diameter and up to 12' long. The rack can be loaded with up to 2,000 lbs. of unground bars. The machine can then separate each bar, load it into the machine, grind it and then unload and eject it from the rollers. Gaging and feedback for data collection or machine compensations can also be incorporated with the Servo Cycle platform or Hi-Accuracy platform. Royal Master’s TG-12×8 Series of centerless grinders is said to combine a robust platform with a compact footprint.
The TG-12×8’s main spindle, supported by an outboard bearing, can handle metal bond diamond wheels for ceramics or conventional wheels. The regulating wheel housing, featuring oversized straddle bearings, can enable no deflection and result in sub-micron tolerances. The machine also offers a dual slide system, with turcite-coated ram positioning surfaces for low friction movements.
For precise size control, a microsize adjustment can enable cost-effective, micron-level movements. A full range of accessories, including step feeders, bowl feeders and other through-feed devices can be added to enhance functionality.
