The self-contained pneumatic B60 power collet chuck does not require a lathe, grinder or rotary table to have a hydraulic system, rear actuator, restrictive draw-tube or air feed tubes. Instead, the collet chuck is operated by an air cylinder that is integrated into its body. The chucks have a gripping capacity of 2.375".
Many new toolroom lathes or flat bed lathes come with a CNC but with manually operated chucks. These machines are not equipped with a hydraulic system to operate a power chuck. According to the company, its integrated pneumatic cylinder collet chuck is designed to easily convert these machines to a power collet chuck.
Also available are models that are said to accommodate 5C, 16C and B42 collets with high accuracy and speeds to 5,000 rpm.
