Rollomatic has expanded its Grindsmart series of multi-axis tool-grinding machines with the Grindsmart 528XF. The six-axis CNC grinder features a travelling workhead that enables the production of long drills with flutes ranging to 12", the company says. The machine also features a camera to locate coolant holes, as well as a six-station wheel and nozzle changer. According to the company, the machine offers versatility in manufacturing solid carbide drills and high-performance end mills.
