Thinbit, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Company, has expanded its Microbit solid carbide tools to include small bore profiling and back turning to 0.125" minimum bore. Designed for ID or face grooving, boring/turning and threading, the profiling tools can be used to cut intricate forms that require fine detail. The tools are available in 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" shank diameters with neck lengths of 0.375", 0.625", 0.750", 1", 1.25" and 1.75", respectively. Available coatings include TiN, TiCN TiAIN and diamond.
